angel face...

A big influence for me is the artist and graphic designer Pedro Inoue, I love all his work, and here is an example of some of his work, and piece of work I did based on looking at pedro's work.

El Tango De FACE...

Our most recent project in Graphic Design has been about image manipulation. Each of us had to do interesting edits of our own portrait. I did quite a lot of different ones, but here are just a few of my favorites.

From Laura Caponi...

A couple of years ago I was living in Heidelberg in Germany, and I lived for a very short time with a lovely Italian girl called Laura. She is extremely talented, she speaks about 1000 different languages, and me and her are great friends. Anyway... I went to a really cool Halloween party in 2010, and I went as a masked vampire. A lot of photos of a drunken me appeared on facebook the next day, and one of them in particular was really cool (thank you to Lydia O'Hara for taking it!). It caught the attention of my Italian friend laura, who soon sent me some really cool edits of them! I wanted to share them with you, because I think they are really interesting!

A History Of The Future...

In case you did not know, I am currently a Graphic Design student at the University of Bedfordshire. I am about 1/3 of my way through my first year, and really enjoying it! I feel myself growing creatively with each week, and I am constantly pushing myself to do more and more. I thought now with my new blog, I would share with you some work that I have done up until now, while being at the University. I would have liked to show you my work pre-university, but I dont have it scanned onto the computer, yet... but maybe in a couple of months time, I will have got round to doing that.

Anyway... The First project we were set was to create an album cover for an 80's synth pop band. We were not allowed to use a computer, but technology that would have been around at the time (photocopiers, polaroids) were allowed. We had to try and convey our understanding of the time, and make it looking fitting for a real 80's LP. I took inspiration from El Lissitzky, Kraftwerk, and Letterostett.

I then used the materials I collected for this project and used them to create a magazine cover mock up, for a magazine I was thinking of making to co-inside with my radio show at the university. In the end I decided not to make the magazine (too much money!), but I did like the outcome of the magazine cover.

Here begins my documentation of my journey.
